Imagine a glorious sea of Golden Retrievers frolicking in a bucolic summer camp setting. This was the imagery that inspired us to make this dogumentary film. The film centers around Goldstock (think Woodstock meets Golden Retrievers), an annual event that takes place every Labor Day weekend in rural northeastern Pennsylvania. Goldstock is really about dog rescue and the attendees come from all over the country to re-energize, reconnect with old friends, and raise money for the dog rescue organizations that they run or represent.
Our crew had the privilege of attending this past Labor Day weekend and filming the event, and we had a glorious time. Our days of shooting were long and our crew worked their butts off, but it was an amazing experience and we made a lot of wonderful friends four legged and two. At the end of the day, as Gail Lustig, the founder of Goldstock so eloquently puts it, these dogs rescue people as much as people rescue them. And this is what our film is all about.
This is a quick video of our visit with Sweet Dream House Rescue in Cincinnati this past summer.

We had an awesome time at the 14th annual SouthSide Film Festival this past weekend! Thank you Katie, Glenn, Jeff and everybody at SSFF who did such an amazing job and made us feel so welcomed. It was so great meeting other filmmakers as well. Can't wait to come back next year!

"Dog Camp" movie Blu-ray DVDs are ready to ship! Thanks for being so patient everyone! We had a lot of requests and we're so glad that there is so much interest in the film.
All we ask is for a donation if you want a DVD. All net proceeds will go to the rescues of Goldstock '15 and to Marty's family - so don't donate if your rescue attended Goldstock last year or if you are Marty :-)
Please go to www.goodfriend.media and click on the "donate" button underneath our movie poster. The suggested donation is $20, but we'd be happy with any amount lesser or greater.
If you emailed us, you will get an email confirmation shortly. If you FB messaged us, we'll reply back to you, if we haven't already. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Thanks!
